It is called the ‘Goal Predictor Assessment’, if you score high, then you are more likely to make that dream a reality.

If you read Napoleon Hill’s ‘Think & Grow Rich’, he says that for any goal to be reached you need a  ‘Burning Desire’ or ‘BIG WHY’ (in today’s personal development world words) – something that pulls you forward to really reach your goal, even when times get tough, so let’s assess your goal!

Goal Predictor Assessment:

Think of your goal and give each of the next statements a mark out of 10.

1. Future Identity – can you visualise the ‘future you’ and achieve the goal you are aiming for? Have you been visualise your achievements?
2. Intrinsic Value – is this goal personally meaningful to you?
3. Ultarian Value – is achieving this goal useful? Will you receive a reward or extrinsic value from it, increased pay or respect?
4. Opportunity Cost – will going after this cost you in other areas of your life? Relationships, health, work/life balance?
5. Delay Time – will the end reward take too long or is there milestones along the way you can celebrate?
6. Personal Control – can you achieve this goal on your own with your knowledge, skills, ability and confidence?
7. Social Support – will the people around you support you along the way or will they try to dissuade you?
8. Bandwidth Belief – do you have the bandwidth (time) to accomplish your goal or will it lead to you being overwhelmed? Can you clear some things off your plate to make room for more meaningful and productive tasks?
9. Resource Availability – do you have the resources to to accomplish your goal?
10. Autonomy – can you do this on your own? Will other people allow you to do this? Are your decisions your own?

A score above 75 means you are more likely to achieve your goal but to increase the possibility have a think about strategies and areas to focus on – especially with the lower scoring questions.
