About Age Drop

Age Drop Personal Training & Coaching was created in 2013 after I realised that, age 40 and over, is when a lot of people start to feel the effects of neglecting their health, fitness, and self-care. People were coming to me because they were struggling with their weight, had low energy levels, and were stressed out and overwhelmed with everything they had to do. Health problems were also starting to become an issue and they were lacking in confidence and the knowhow to change what they were unhappy with – leading them to look and feel older than they wanted for their age.

On a more personal level, I have a lifetime of sport, training and living life to the full under my belt, with all the associated old injury niggles that comes with this! Now in my early 50’s and going through the menopause transition, with the challenges that this phase of life can bring, my goal is to stay “fit for life” by living the Age Drop lifestyle.

The ethos of the Age Drop lifestyle is about creating healthy, sustainable habits to live a healthier, happier life – with progress not perfection being the goal. As I’m getting older, I know I can still “do it all’, just not all at once these days, and that there will be a longer recovery time when I do!

What I’ve discovered along the way, is that midlife and beyond is not a time to slow down and take it easy but a time to prioritise your self-care with sleep, good quality nutrition, reduce and manage stress, train hard but smart, cherish social connections, spend time in nature and listen to your body when rest and recovery is needed too. All the lessons I’ve learnt along the way has enabled me to offer a more complete service to help my clients live their best life.
