What was your situation like before you started working with me?

I had been with another program which did not meet my needs and was based in Australia so costs were uncertain and exercises not always suited. 

 

What were the specific struggles you were going through and how did that affect your life? 

I had had PM weight gain, clothing was tightening and needed some additional support despite being on Oestrogen patches had little energy. 

What was your first reaction when you came across my content?

I wondered if it would be more of the same stuff I had read or heard before. It soon proved to not be.

I was interested and keen to make a difference for me with my weight and a tailored exercises to do at home. 

 

What have you learned on the programme and how has your experience been?

It’s a great program and the support from Jackie is fantastic, exercise is tailored around our particular needs injuries etc 

 

What results did you get and how has it changed your life working with me/doing the programme?

This is a fabulous programme in the measured way information is shared, dietary information provided and exercises are accessed from the App. It’s all there to go back over if you need too.

What was your situation like before you started working with me?

Before working with Jackie I was in a pretty nasty situation with my self esteem at an all time low and relationship on the rocks because of my mental state. I was mentally not even able to commit to making any effort to improve my circumstances.

 

What were the specific struggles you were going through and how did that affect your life? 

A long time ago I had a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and the subsequent changes to my entire system seemed to have exacerbated. Talking to Jackie about it one time, she suggested I was going through Perimenopause. I’d never heard the term before and rejected the suggestion telling her, ‘No, it’s the TBI.’ It was the same stuff, just repeating, and in some cases – worse, even though I’d been managing for years. Jackie gave me some information to look up, and bugga me! But it appeared she was correct.
My body’s temperature regulation was all out of whack, again. Night sweats had returned. Inability to maintain regular sleep patterns. Consequent tiredness and low tolerance, mood swings, low mood – depression resulting in irrational crying. Weight gain, probably due to the uncontrollable appetite because of the tiredness and low mood.
Lack of ability to problem solve or even to think logically to cope with new things. Forgetfulness – driving my husband insane as I just repeatedly say, ‘I forgot.’ When one forgets something, there is no solution, it is simply gone from the consciousness.
Of course, all this set my confidence to an all time low. Enough said!

What was your first reaction when you came across my content?

I was amazed when Jackie’s suggestion re Perimenopause, of which I’d never heard, appeared to be right on target with everything I was going through, and was relieved to have such an apparently simple and common reason for the life changing problems I was incurring.

 

 Why did you decide to sign up to the programme?

 I was desperate to make a change and apparently Perimenopause was the problem. Jackie was the first person to bring this to my attention and explain it in a way I could understand. At first the cost was a problem, but once I broke it down to a weekly cost, it wasn’t too much at all. I HAD to do something, and Jackie knows my situation well, and is so easy to talk to, it was a perfect solution to try.

 

What have you learned on the programme and how has your experience been?

 I have learned an awful lot of basic information about perimenopause and the changes our bodies go through as females. Basic eating habits that are simple to follow, and easy to implement have been a game changer for me. Nutritional requirements such as higher protein consumption was easy to do. This sort of stuff needs to be taught in human biology at school. As girls I believe we should be made aware of this stage of our lives and be at least forewarned and ready to recognise the struggles we are all going to experience so that we are prepared to investigate solutions earlier and avoid the deep fall into the pit of perimenopause by addressing the changes as they start.
The programme is set up so well with incremental introduction to the changes so that you already have started to implement changes to your routine meaning that each change is just one small addition at a time. There are no huge, big changes to overcome at once making it very easy to accommodate into our already seemingly full lifestyles.

 

What results did you get and how has it changed your life working with me/doing the programme?

I have lost 6 or 7 kgs in the 12 weeks of the programme and toned up my body very noticeably. Admittedly I haven’t completed as much of the programme as I’d thought I would have. Life has gotten in the way at times, and returning to work part time part way through did of course change up time availability. That said, I have learned important factors that I need to commit to keeping up with to maintain the upward trajectory I find myself on

What was your situation like before you started working with me?

I thought I was a little bit fit, but knew I needed to be better and stronger going into midlife.

 

What were the specific struggles you were going through and how did that affect your life? 

I was struggling a bit with perimeno symptoms, and thanks to your knowledge I got some good advice on managing some symptoms, and getting help.

What was your first reaction when you came across my content?

We’ve been friends for nearly 30 years now, so I’ve been watching your development and finding your niche all this time.
